ROYAL ONTARIO MUSEUM
FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE WONDER OF NATURE
PROJECT STORY
This travelling exhibition explores the links between the magical creatures of the Wizarding World and the remarkable animals in our natural world, encouraging a greater connection to our planet and empowering us all to be advocates for its care. Guests are awed by the powerful combination of science, nature, and imagination as they explore fantastic beasts in all their forms and learn how these animals inspired some of the world’s most incredible stories and folklore.
Originally conceived and developed by Wizarding World and the Natural History Museum in London, we were contracted by the Royal Ontario Museum to create a new gallery space to accommodate travelling and temporary exhibits. In addition, we fabricated and installed additional retrofit components to seamlessly integrate the travelling exhibit components within the new gallery space. What’s more, some of these components were designed to be modular and mobile, ready to be repurposed for future travelling exhibits. This adaptability ensures that the magic of this exhibition can continue to inspire audiences in the future.
